Why Gold
A good investment style during rising inflation is to invest in precious metals, such as gold or silver. Precious metals are known as a safe investment in times of crises and/or inflation. This is because the value of gold has remained virtually stable over the years. This allows you to store your wealth, as it were, and retain the value of the money.
The record price
One of the main reasons why gold is seen as an inflation hedge is that it is a tangible asset, unlike paper money. Physical gold has intrinsic value and cannot be printed by a central bank like currencies. This makes it attractive in times of economic uncertainty. Investors and savers often buy gold as a way to preserve their purchasing power when they fear that their money will lose value due to rising prices.
